Well, the weather was nice...but not for hunting. It reached nearly 70 degrees during the days and the night was bright with moonlight so we didn't see many deer moving during the day light. Was hoping to find a big rut crazed buck, but settled for this one on the morning of the day we were leaving.
Shot him in the lungs with a .50 cal. 275 grain slug from about 40 yards away. It dropped him in a hurry.
I wish I had more time to hunt to find a big one...but don't we all???
Guess it's time to get after the predators now. 8)

That is a nice looking buck froggy, congratulations.

I'm with ya on the predators.

Froggy - congrats on the buck!

I'll be after coyotes shortly. Need to let the bow hunters finish up with their late deer season. I won't go up there shooting coyotes until they're done going for deer & elk.

Do hear what you're saying though.. It just doesn't seem right... One buck and a fellow is done for a year... Dang...
