Swift Scirocco for 8mm fans

Most interesting, Gerry. I've worked up a great load with the 220 grain A-Frame and with the 200 grain Partition. I've taken several head of elk and moose with the Partition load. A 190 grain Scirocco would be interesting to work with. Not certain what it would do that a 200 grain AccuBond wouldn't do, and the Swifts are virtually impossible to find here in Canada. Still...

That's great stuff. I'm working with the 150 Scirocco in my old 7mm Rem Mag. Haven't gotten real far yet but it looks good so far. Good to see the 8mm getting some love.

...can't find 'em on Swift's website, no SD/ BC available, but even if they were running .500 BC you would have to be able to push them very hard to beat the 220gr. Sierra, so I guess I'll just stick w/ them until somebody comes out w/ a good viable alternative. 'Sides, it's a lot easier to shoot boolits that cost 1/2 as much & are available (relatively speaking, of course)...

...now if Scotty would just get a .325 WSM, I'm sure there would be a rush to bring out a good high BC .220gr. 8mm projectile...

Wild gene, I want to shoot some 220 Sierras in my 325 wsm, but haven't been able to find them locally. Based on this topic, I ordered some from Powder Valley tonight.

The swift bullet seems like a good idea, but I have a 7mm Mag for those "light" bullets  I bought my 325 to be an elk rifle and that is its primary purpose.
