He stated that I use the hornady manual to work up my loads on 115 bal tips, it shows a safe range of 48-56 grains of rl-22 with a 117 grain hornady bullet? Yet we hear from rem25-06 that his 51.5 gr load is near max for 115 gr bal tips? I always thought the lighter the bullet the more of a powder you can throw at it if all other variables are the same?

Question for the nosler guys is are you well below safe range with the 52 grain max? Also why no listings in newer manuals for this powder? Thanks again. I'm a stickler on details

Different manufacturers bullets have different bearing surfaces, different chambers and barrels, different lots of powder/primers/brass. That is why it is always suggested to start low and work-up.Rick.
