Tell me about...... New Mexico. Finalized. Moving there !!

Well it is official. We are headed to New Mexico. I want to thank Terry for giving me some great info on the ABQ area and Scotty for hooking me up with a fellow Marine who lives there. Between the two of those guys I have a feeling I will be well versed in the Desert SW soon.

I accepted a position with Nissan Cars of North America. My territory will encompass all of New Mexico and the city of El Paso TX. We are prepping for the move big time. House is going on the market next week and I report to Dallas for training on Sept 2. Shouldn't be too awfully hard to get ready. I have been doing this job for 14 years already, just need to get acquainted with their processes and procedures.

We are excited and sad all in the same breath. This is the 4th move and 4th state we have lived in since 2005. We knew going in our careers would not allow us to grow roots for at least 15 years, so now we are off to our next adventure. This will also allow us to have my wife stay home with the kiddos for a while and take a break from working. It is hard to move away from some great friends we have made here, as well as great whitetail hunting on Public Ground. It has been 12 years since I have hunted out west and the pull of the Rockies are too great. I am not getting any younger and my years of playing baseball are catching up to me ( knees, feet, etc...)

Terry, I will let you know when we get settled. Can't wait to get out to DNGC and try out the 1000 yard range. :) Plan on joining as soon as we get settled.

Congratulations, Pat. I'm sure that with the help of some friends, you'll land on your feet. Sounds like a solid move.

Pat,

Best wishes buddy. I know MI well so let me know if I can help here.
Let me know if you pass through here.

No doubt Pat being Military I have friends all around the world and it's a job trying to keep up with good friends but moving every 4 years and deploying and leaving the Wife at a temporary home was the norm for me for many years and all be it challenging you guys should enjoy ABQ and the desert SW ! Congrats on you're job and looking forward to your arrival as it is not too bad a place as I retired here in 2001! Got here in 1992 and if I was to move it would be on a lake somewhere in Arkansas ! But I would somehow have to find a way to get rid of humidity! We do not have that in NM!!

Well Pat, make sure you've got a spare room ready! Congrats brother. That's excellent. Sounds like a really cool adventure your about to take.

Congratulations Pat on that new position, I am sure that a few of the Nolser clad will steer you in the right direction.
I am also looking forward to some photos of that 1000 yard range that you are joining ! I sure hope you are in time to maybe get in a hunt or two this season !

Blessings,
Dan

Dan this is a Ariel view of the Range and it has been changed around a little as all the pistol bays are over on the side of the General Rifle Range 300,200,100 ranges now and where the pistol bays were is now the Archery Range !

20 lanes at 1000 yds and since this picture they have leveled all the shooting platforms and when the did they took out most all the inclination as you were shooting up hill but now it's close to level and the range is setup To shoot due North as this picture was taken! Does not look like it's 6610 feet above sea level until ya start to get your breathing in sync with your trigger pull! Air is thin to say the least!
