I was wondering if anyone had the nosler accubonds, Nosler E-tip, barnes TSX, and Barnes MRX or other remington bullets. I want to test some of these bullets out but dont want to buy a whole box. These would be for a .270 win, preferably 130 Gr. bullets but i would settle for any Gr.

I would buy these however you would sell them to me, like just 3 of each or 5 of each.........Ect.

I will buy them or i can trade for some bullets that i have........Mainly hornady stuff in many different calibers.

Let me know if anyone would be interested in this, i think we could all benefit from a program like this. We would then all get the chance to try the bullets we are curious about.

Thanks.

Yea, ive seen that sight. They offer one bullet for the .270 and it isnt one that i even want to try. They do have a goo selection of 30 cal bullets, i will give them that.

yeah they do have alot of 30 cal bullets. I am going to use them for my 300 win mag. but the best bullet in my 270 was a 130 grain hornady interlock with 60 grains of reloader 22. It shot under half in at 200 yards.

Ive had real good luck with the nosler silver ballastic tips, 130 Gr.
Just wanting to do some expiermenting i guess.

I know what you mean. I am getting ready to try the 200 grain accubonds and the 208 grain A-Max bullets in my 300 win mag and I really dont want to go and spen 40.00 bucks on bullets that dont really work good in my rifle. So I am kinda looking for some test bullets also

Are you testing for accuracy or for durability?? If you are going to test for toughness somehow ....and you'll put in the time and effort I think we'll get some people to donate. I don't have much in 270 cal but I do think I have some northforks and tsx laying around. I'd be glad to donate those and send for free if you are testing for toughness.

I have plenty of Barnes TSX, MRX, and TTSX...but none in .277 caliber. All of mine are .224 and .308.

To make a long story short...great. That said...I have not tried the lighter bullets (130 and 150 grain), but the 165 and 168's are downright awesome IMO.
The barrel gets a bit of copper in it after about 30 rounds and accuracy fades a bit...clean it and its back to sub MOA.

I have only used them in my 308, I have not shot the shoulder buster (300 Win Mag) in over 3 years.

I want to test for expansion, weight retention, and penetration. I am not asking for any kind of donations, i would be more then happy to pay for any bullets received. I also have a 300 rum that i can test bullets on also. so if you have 308. bullets i could test them also. I will post my results for everyone to see. I cannot promise that it will be right away because i have to accumulate good things to test my ammunition on. I have been using pumpkins with great results. Those are all getting old though so i will have to get milk jugs and phone books.

Thanks to all that would particapate.

Its not so much that I'm not interested...its just that I've already tested them in 308, 243, and 223...

I've shot them through everything from steel plates to deer to car windsheilds to wet phone books and water.

They always look just like the one on the Barnes ad...a few from the 223 did lose their petals in the glass...came out looking sorta like this...(glass is VERY hard on bullets)

62 grain TSX fired from a Smith & Wesson M&P 15 into a windsheild
Range...15 yards
Muzzle velocity...2,900 fps

I have not yet been able to recover one from a deer...they always exit, even the 223.
