It appears around 2,600 fps is going to be the sweet spot for the 350 MT in the 416. My newest 9.3 has only shot the lighter bullets so far, 232 gr ecostrike and 250 gr AB. Copied the load I been using in my mauser 98 9.3x62 which is 285 gr PPU RN and 65, or 66 gr of big game. 65 grains produced 2,457 fps average, and 66 grains produced 2,498 fps average. This sauer rifle apparently also like the heavy bullets.

Also did a ladder with 400 gr DGX in 3X fired norma brass, and RL 15
75 gr = 2411 fps
75.5gr = 2419 fps
76 gr = 2450 fps

I'd say you are ready to hunt.

I agree! (y)

Nice shooting.
Thanks Guy! Now I got to replenish the powder and bullet supply. And wait for November deer season lol.

How is the recoil with the first 416?

In the beginning it beat me around a good bit lol. It's really not all that bad, since I've got alot of practice in with it now. It is quite a bit more than the 375's I've used. I've put 177 rounds through it so far, with around 160 of those off the bench. Anything over about 10 rounds off the bench I put one of those shoulder pads from Caldwell, the thin one for shotgun shooting. That allows me to shoot about 30-40 rounds without much issue and no bruising lol.

Very cool Cleveland! I have my 9.3 ammo loaded with RL15 and 250 Accubonds right now, just waiting for a range day.

I need to break out my little baby 375 Improved and get to shooting that a little.. I am having a bit of 416 envy though!

Hopefully those AB work out good for you. My rifle shot them plenty good enough for hunting, I just struggled to get them to maintain sub moa for some reason.
