So my 13 year old Stephan has been saving his money from his chores. I ask him what he wants to spend it on and he declared he did not know. Today we went to my favorite pawn shop and he peeped out a shotgun. To make a long story short he is in the back yard (5 acres) shooting his Springfield Savage 410 bolt action shotgun! Used/very old but looks great!
Watch out prairie dingos and jackrabbits!

Here he is with his sister

His first goat with his 270 win savage. Double lung with 130 ballistic tips 3100 fps shot at 232 yards!

Congratulations, POP. Your son has done well. What a fortunate young man to have a father who loves him enough to spend time with him, educating him in safety and the joys of the manly art of hunting.

Good lookin' young folks Pop! Hope you keep those huntin partners. Time spent with the kids (whatever they do) is never wasted! CL

Good Job Pop! looks like a chip off the old proverbial Block. Sounds like a neat shot gun too. You are doing something right when your kid picks a gun over a game boy with his own money, keep up that good work.
Me and Tater worked about 5 Toms today, and even though I got them to within range, I couldn't get them to cross the fence on to my lease. they would walk up and down but never cross. We moved up and down, and backed off like we were leaving, but they wouldn't cross. 2 big Toms and 3 Jakes. Worked them birds for 2 and 1/2 hours.
