The Best Case Lube

The very best I have found is Honrady case sizing wax this stuff is amazing and I have tried about them all! The Hornady case sizing wax not really a wax per say also has a polish material in it after you wipe the case they are shiny clean! A tin of this will last a long, long time! This stuff is top notch and only need a thin layer easy in and out of the sizing die. Will never use any other again. Very little residue and just plain works awesome!

Imperial Sizing Wax for rifle cases loaded on a single stage.

Dillon or One shot for pistol on a progressive.

Used RCBS case lube applied by hand, one at a time for many years. Tried Hornady One Shot for the first time this year and I don't think I'll ever go back. Resizing brass is much quicker now using One Shot. Didn't know that One Shot could go bad, so I'll have to watch that.

Hey Dan,
Where do you find the Imperial Sizing Wax on the Canadian side of the 49th ?

It is for sale in most stores handling firearms and/or shooting supplies. The LGS carries Imperial Sizing Wax and Imperial Application Media. It has also been sold by Wholesale Sports and Cabelas.

Great products, only kind I use, and are also available through Sinclair International and Brownells.

Wants talk about messy? My uncle used to use STP on his lube pad, you will never have a stuck case
But what a mess! ( never said you won't have a misfire!!!)

Saw a lot of that in years past, Earle. People swore by it, though I never did use it.

My reloading mentor in the early 60's used STP on his pad. He was very meticulous, and insisted I learn every step of the process and the reason for each. That included using graphite on the inside case neck, then rolling the clean case on his STP pad prior to resizing. Then cleaning the inside case neck with an alcohol swab, followed by wiping and cleaning the STP off with an alcohol rag. Then outdoor disposal of the cleaning materials in his burn barrel. No, I don't use STP now, but the discipline of the process has stuck with me. The extra time devoted to getting the STP removed did not seem excessive, and the cleaning was the time for the most thorough visual inspection prior to primer pocket cleaning and re-priming. We were loading for center fire hunting rifles in relatively small batches. Fond memories of evenings spent with him as we loaded 100 or fewer while I soaked up his teaching. EE2

I always used RCBS ( the KJV of Reloading products :)) case lube on that goofy pad until I discovered Imperial Wax back in the 90s from a guy at Sinclair. I don't load big batches and I like applying it with my fingers, then wipe them with a small cotton towel. I also like how the thin film of wax residue keeps the brass from tarnishing. I never had a reason to use any kind of spray on lube as the only Dillon I ever used was a Square Deal B in .45 ACP and carbide dies. Love this hobby/therapy!

Have used a lot of them over the years .... but this is all I use now. Easiest, cheapest, best spray on a guy can use in my opinion. (In reality, the "best" is what works for you) If you try it, you will like it. A little goes a long long way. Trust me .... this stuff works.

One Part (1 oz) liquid lanolin http://www.naturalhealthyconcepts.com/l ... aQodBd0HLw

Twelve Parts (12 oz) 99% isopropyl alcohol or red bottle HEET (same same) http://www.amazon.com/ISO-HEET-28202-Fu ... B000V4HC7Y

Warm Liquid Lanolin and mix to Iso ... shake. Done. 13 oz of mix is enough for over 10,000 cases.

Not my idea .... I found it here. http://www.ar15.com/forums/t_6_42/30517 ... tards.html

I don't use it because I am cheap ... I use it because it's the best lube I have ever tried....but it is cheap and easy to use too.

And for those who like video's ..... this one about sums it up (not my video) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0117UuXiSS4

use a technique when spraying that hits some of the inside necks. I put 500 case in an empty gallon ice cream bucket and swirl them around. 1/3 of the necks will be looking up at me. Spray twice .... repeat twice .... let them dry a little ...and away ya go.

try it you will like it.

Sorry 3deer, I did not see your post. DrMike gave you a couple of places, I get from our local gun store but have seen it in almost all the gun stores.
Sorry again for not answering sooner.

Blessings,
Dan
