Well having watched this guy from a little basket rack 3 years ago until yesterday, I knew this was the deer i was going to concentrate on. Lots of trail cam pics but all after dark, I had yet to see him alive until this year. I managed to get a couple quick glimpses of him this fall in velvet and he looked quite impressive! My brother managed to get a crack at him a few evenings ago but did not connect. (y) Well yesterday hormones finally got the best of him and he showed himself mid morning chasing a doe and well...as they say the rest is history! The little .257wby performed as it always does.Oh yeah Thanks goes out to nosler, I'm really digging these e-tips.

Nice buck! Perseverance pays off. Good for you.
Good choice on the cartridge also. No flies on a 257 Weatherby.

Superb specimen! Congratulations on a truly excellent buck. Glad you persevered.

Congrats!
Good things come to those who wait.

Beautiful buck. Congratulations. I bet it was satisfying to connect on him the first opportunity that you had.

Awesome deer.
Curious as to what he weighed ?
