It’s a very different state to live in that for sure. Been here since ‘97. Getting tougher to stay every year. Common sense is not that common anymore.

Although Nebraska is a very Red State, their permitting requirements are much the same. Classroom is only a day, but you have to shoot and demonstrate proficiency. I went through it in Sidney, NE.

Even with this requirement, CCP reciprocity is not as broad as other less restrictive states. I have had CCP’s in PA, NE, and NH. NE was the most difficult to get.

What I don’t doubt such regulation might prevent some otherwise law abiding citizen from committing a gun crime doubt it‘ does anything for the criminals committing gun crime, so then what? We are fighting the same regulations in Oregon so far we have kept it hung up in court for two years. The rest of you 8 balls better pay attention and vote. Oregons restrictive gun laws passed by the narrowest of margins and easily could have been defeated by a strong turnout of conservative voters. Get out and vote, elections do have consequences.

Here in Washington - those who know figure that at least a million conservative voters didn't even turn out last November, and rarely do. So, all the lefty stuff passes...

The only thing this type of over-regulation is good for is creating a thriving black market. It does nothing to stop or reduce crime. You can't legislate evil or emotions.

Already much of this is required in hunters safety to get a license to hunt bunny rabbits or grouse.

IIRC, we tried to get something like that going here. It never happened but I forget their reasoning. Some of it might have been objection by parents. The sad part was it would have been us volunteers who had been doing it all along so it would have cost the school system nothing. here may also have been people in Phoenix doing some of the blocking. All I really remember was it wasn't allowed to fly.

Criminals could care less. They don’t abide by the laws already in place, much less this additional regulation. All this does is infringe on the rights a law abiding citizens. Liberals don’t give a damn about rights. As long as they are able to force their will on those that disagree, it will continue to happen. Excercise your rights or you WILL lose them.
