Thinking about a Prairie Dog hunt.

I'm trying to see if I can get a PD hunt together for my dad, a friend, and I this summer or fall. Can anyone point me in the right direction weather it be private or public ground?

Nathan, I've rarely shot prairie dogs, but have you considered Oregon sage rats?

THOUSANDS of targets, much smaller than P-Dogs as well. Think central/southern Oregon...

Don't know about a prairie dog "hunt"; I think if you find a prairie dog population, it is more of a prairie dog "shoot."

We have sage rats (we call them whistle pigs) here but not in big quantities anymore. We also have rock chucks here but there numbers are down considerably around here too. It is something we might do if the prairie dog thing doesn't happen.

Sorry for my poor wording Mike. It's probably more like a slaughter or explosion. I'd be looking for visual effect so the calibers used would be fairly large for most of it.
