Not too long ago I picked up an H59 scope and love it. At first I thought it was a little busy but I got used to it pretty quickly. I like the fact that I dont need to dial for windage or distance. I have one on my 308 and 300 win mag and find it very effective. What are your thoughts?

We had Horus reticle systems in some of our scopes and I believe the Marine Corps is still running them. They are very effective for long range shooting. Haven't heard who makes Horus Optics or who they retrofit their reticles with. Some pictures would be very cool.

Welcome aboard.

I used one, briefly, and was unimpressed.

But... Perhaps I just needed more time with it. I was much faster on target at 500+ yards without all those gazillions of crosshairs.

Thanks, I know it sounds crazy, but check out Bushnell tactical. I am not where I can take photos of my setups right now, but I was shocked at the quality of the Bushnell scope. Also Schmidt and Bender has them if your willing to drop the coin on them. Like I said it takes some getting used to but once you do it's a really fast system. Not for everyone though, there is still nothing like a .270 win with a flat trajectory zeroed 3" high at 100 yds.
