This past Saturday I bought a new rifle, one of the Bass Pro/Cabelas exclusive model Tikka T3x's in 223. I wanted it because it has a threaded barrel for my suppressor and a 1:8 twist so I can use heavier bullets. For optics, I mounted a Vortex Viper 6-24x50.

I took it to the range last evening. I had intended to use some Australian Defense Industries 223 ammo loaded with 69gr Matchkings but picked up the same company's ammo loaded with 55gr Blitzkings by mistake. I didn't have time to run home and switch ammo so I pushed on.

I fired the first 3 shot group and thought I had a problem. I could only see one hole in the target. I checked the scope to be sure it was secure. I went to the target and discovered all three bullets had made one small hole. I immediately cut the group out of the target and, knowing there would be doubters, also cut out the cardboard backer that verified the group. It measured .081.

Later in the range session I fired two more groups that measured .478 and .242 . While not as small as the first, these are very respectable. To say I'm happy is an understatement.

26, I'm a Tikka freak and own 20ish in various models and calibers. I have only had one lemon in all the ones I own/have owned and like the fact it's not hard to find a load that's good to great with little effort.

My CTR in 6.5CM is my favorite because it shoots any ammo I've tried into little groups. I'm a fairly basic reloader and don't have any of the more advanced tools, but that hasn't prevented my CTR from giving me wonderful results, even at extended range. 500 yds is the farthest I've been able to shoot and my best 3 shot group has been 2.76 inches.

So, grab a Tikka, or another one, and I think you'll be very happy.

I got my first a couple years ago, a T3x Super Varmint in 6.5 PRC and it's been awesome. Definitely will be getting another Tikka in the not so distant future.
