Getting ready to head out to elk camp this afternoon. The suburban is all loaded..three sets of chains, chain saw, high lift, tent, food, knives, couple pairs of boots, two books, a latern and a couple rifles.

With a safe of rifles, it comes time to decide....what rifle(s) am I taking.
35 Whelen?
338 WM with 200 e-tips?

Then what secondary rifle or really bad weather rifle?

For me, the Tikka T3 338 WM with 200 E-tips is packed.
The Remington 700 XCR in 280 Rem with 160 AB is packed - my really bad weather rifle. Has a Bushnell 4200 scope with the Rainguard, which really works well.

Then I just could not leave the Finnlight 30-06. Topped with a Leupold 2.5-8, this is my money in the bank rifle.

First headed to kids soccer games, then off to the land on the big bulls. Safe hunting everyone

Have a great hunt :). Be safe, shoot straight & have fun!!
Remember lots of photos & a good story or 2

Blessings,

Good luck Eric. Hope you connect. It could be a good omen for me in a few weeks.

Hope you are able to put a bull on the deck!
