Tom's gun trading adventures part 2....the new (old) 6MM Rem

Well, I have had some fun searching, swapping, buying and selling lately!

My goal was to reduce my small gun collection by moving some rifles/shotguns that I wasn't using and acquire a few that I had a desire to hunt with...at the same time amassing some cash surplus for other needs.

1) I have a really nice (accurate) Model 7 SS Syn in .308 for an all rounder, shooting 165 NABs into 1/2"

2) I picked up a Model 99 Savage that just wasn't fitting me so I fortunately swapped that for this
nice Mod 81 BLR in 7MM08

3) Yesterday I added a sweet Remington 700 BDL in 6MM Remmy (1980 vintage but in great condition)

I like the way the 325WSM was done up. Very practical and it looks really nice.

...well, we know there's a 9 & 10mm fer certain, I believe there were 11mm French & 12mm Prussian calvary pistols, there's a 14mm Russian MG, 20mm anti-tank, & 40mm grenade launcher, so,
41...

...41 is the answer...

Nice rifles. My son and I still hunt with the 6mm Remington that I got back in the 1970's. It is still sudden death on rockchucks, coyotes and mule deer.

Even have half a thought to try it on pronghorn this year... I thought about that nearly 40 years ago, but haven't managed it yet.

Your 6mm is such a great looking rifle. I think you'll enjoy loading for it and shooting it.

Regards, Guy

No, I think they go much bigger 406mm or 16" was on the Iowa class battleships. And the Yamamoto had 18.1" guns I can't remember the metric conversion on it!
