Tougher animal, whitetail or mule deer?

If whitetail had sharp teeth and claws, we'd all be better shots when we hunted them. The tenacity they display is awesome to behold, that's for sure.

I have killed several of each with bow and rifle, I will concur the whitetail has a more innate will to live than the mule deer. I will however say pound for pound the antelope has them both beat when it comes to taking lead .

This is really odd because Jim and I had this same conversation in the truck while going antelope hunting!
