Does anyone know if federal or whoever makes these bullets will ever be putting them out there for sale so us hand loaders can use them, i really like the bullets but i just wish that i could load my own instead of having to buy factory loaded rounds. Thanks

I wouldn't expect ATK to market the TBBC again very soon; nor do I expect to see the Tipped TBBC soon. I still have a supply of 175 grain 7mm TBBC that I bought from Jack Carter before they were taken over by ATK. It is a great bullet. It has accounted for a lot of game for me.

Why not try the North Fork, they seem very similar to the TBBC.

What Gerry says. Seems like the North Forks are gaining on popularity amongst some hunters. I admit to having looked at them a bit for the smaller 358's and such. They seem like a very well designed bullet that has alot going for it.

The Tipped TBBC is a very good looking bullet though. Seems like it has some thought put behind its design. Be cool to see a couple shot into some jugs, just for science sake!

...Like Mike, I still have a small supply of the old TBBC's, I've shot an & elk & a bear w/ the 175gr. 7mm's & they performed very well, but...

...accuracy was on par w/ my GrandSlam loads, any better BC was offset by the lower MV's required, & "dead is dead" so it was pretty hard to quantify if @ twice the price they were killing things "more deader"...

Those guys are right down the road from me and don't even make a 8mm bullet.

Really? I didn't notice that.. Man, I might need to put an email into them.. That kinda surprises me some. I guess with the Swift, Nosler and Barnes options you are still relatively well covered!

I don't even wanna go down this 8mm track right now. I still have claw marks on my hide from the last time.

The 8mm can not boast about as many quality bullet choices as other calibers but there are still enough around to take any animal I intend to hunt and then some.

You aren't kidding about that. Some pretty good ones really for the game intended with a 8mm..
