Well yesterday was a BANNER DAY for my daughter and me. Hunting from a double tree stand together we had two buck with doe near our tree-stand at the same time. My buck came in behind us and I was able to get turned around to flatten him with one shot with the 30-06 and 165 Ballistic tips, thought the other buck and doe were gone. Started down the tree-stand was only on the first two steps and something caught my eye, it was the other buck scraping where we last spotted him.
My daughter made an 80 yard shot, her first buck by the way, using the 35 Whelen and 225 Partitons. I had a birds eye view of it all, the Whelen literally flattened that buck. Tears followed with joyous hugs and laughter. Literally 4-5 minutes passed between shots. Unbelievable day we had. Will attempt posting some pics later.
