Ugly Rifle!!!!!

I get the part of trying to add a bolt action to their barrel change angle but that rifle's appearance is non-conducive to sales. Physical/mechanical improvements are fine but if it looks funky it isn't going to sell.

Who was the person(s) at TC who said, "I like it!" "Great job!" I would question their abilities more so than the person who designed it. :?

Their Icon line has taken some hits about its appearance, some like em, some don't. At least there's a chance that someone will like that styling. I could buy an Icon or Venture without a second thought. This beast don't have a chance.

Shame cause I bet it shoots.

Friends don't let Friends Beer Goggle....

Seriously.

They Don't.

Drunk is the only way I'd take something that ugly home.

They always get prettier at closing time!
I am going to stay true blue with my Remingtons.

If you get out the dictionary and look under the word Ugly there is a picture of that rifle :(

Ugly rifle shoot better... they never know when they might get shot again!

It's not an "ugly rifle".... Until your friends see you shooting it....

A veritable philosopher. Good points.

This is some funny stuff even if it is one ugly rifle. I will bet Kurt secretly likes the purple one

My daughter's pre-schooler can draw better rifles than that. Now she has to teach him not to draw them at school.....

Maybe he can skip school altogether and get on the design team now.

The purple one reminds of what the dog did after eating the wife's lavender scarf.

I like the "Dimentia" label in the modified photo, it really fits. You want to forget you ever saw that thing.

I just don't get the appeal of switch barrel rifles. Especially ugly switch barrel rifles. Any gun nut with half a brain knows it is better to buy a whole rifle in another caliber rather than just another barrel. I mean who really wants to open up his safe and see one hideous stock and 17 steel tubes corresponding to his collection of reloading dies?

I can see that the fine craftsmenship of some of the high end switch barrel rifles has its place. I also understand that some countries have strict laws on the number of receivers one can own. This is America, though, I'll have a dedicated lock, stock, and barrel for each of my chamberings please... and they won't look like someone put a Savage Axis in the microwave.

i may be able to sway your opinion in a few days on the switch barrel assessment, however i am not going to say its as sexy as the t/c especially the purple one. is it just me or is that the same purple they used on the everclear fueled purple passion bottle in the early nineties?

I can already say that your switch barrel is not in the same league..

Yeah, Jeff, I'm guessing your's doesn't involve a tupperware stock, mass produced barrel, and economy action. My point is why spend very nearly as much on on a barrel, bolt, magazine as you would on something like a complete Marlin XL7. The Marlin will still have a plastic stock but at least it won't be so ugly it hurts your eyeballs to look at it.

If you're building a switch barrel with top shelf components, which I'm sure you are, I could see that it would make sense to use a custom action and high end fiberglass stock as the platform for multiple barrels. Nothing that TC offers even approaches that concept though.

I am definitely intrigued to see what you are putting together.
