I have found many quick loads for Vihtavuori N570 but no one actually using the powder. I would like to know does it work and in what caliber's and what loads?

I've done some work with VN570 and with VN170 in a 30-378 with 200 grain ABs. I obtained excellent velocities and good accuracy.

Haven't used any of the N570, but use quite a bit of N140, N165, & N560 all with great results.
I'm a Viht fan, just pricey for testing.

What round are you looking at using it for?

I just ordered a Kreiger barrel at 28 inches for a .270 wsm. I will not get it for five months but looking for powders now.

I have not used 570 yet but I am shooting a lot of N560. Great powder, clean and very stable.

What's the burn rate of 570? Kinda like Retumbo or RL25? Just wondering. Never used a Viht powder. Scotty

It is another excellent ViihtaVuori powder, as is VN170. I've used a lot of VN560 and VN550 in my 300 WSM, and I'm just beginning to use the slower powder.

A wee bit slower than retumbo!

Wow, I wonder how it would work in the 264WM with the heavier bullets? Scotty

Guess which kid is going hunting for some V570? HA!... Man, that stuff looks REALLY good in the 264 Mike. I gotta try that. Now I just need to find some! Scotty

It's at the top of the chart for 7mm Rem Mag with a 175gr Partition. Supposed to yield over 3000 fps with 74.4 grs of powder. Looks like a sur'nuff starting spot for my elk load for next season.

As Fotis stated -
I've never seen a cleaner burning powder. My .280 absolutely loves the N165.
My .300RUM likes it as well, just low on the velocity scale.

The .260 however with 130gr VLD's and N560  it's the go fast get-r-done powder.
