VVN165+25-06

Anyone have load data for this powder with 115-120gr bullets. My Speer manual only list VVN160 with 100gr bullets.
I have a bunch of this powder and would like to burn it up.

Was at my local gun shop today and the Nosler book list 50.5 with a 120 pt.

QL projects with a 115 grain BT and 57.5 g of N165 you will get a velocity of 3189 fps in a 26 inch barrel. 58 g with a 115 g. PT yields a velocity of 3197 fps in the same barrel. 57 g with a 120 g PT projects a velocity of 3127 fps. These are maximum charges and would require you to work up carefully to ensure that you have no pressure problems.

VihtaVuori 4th Reloading Manual suggests maximum loads of 52.2 grains with a 120 g. Sierra HPBT and 48.3 grains with a 120 grain Speer. Obviously, QL is projecting a significantly hotter charge than VihtaVuori's tested charges. Take this information into consideration when working up a load.
