Yeah buddy, in my "backyard" the area of Washington I'm most familiar with....

According to the draw results, I was "selected" for "Quality Deer" for the November rut hunt here in Washington! Yee Haw!!!! Took 9 years to draw that tag...

You can bet I'm going to be haunting that area all summer long, and into the fall, waiting for November!

I hear a .25-06 jumping up and down in the gunsafe right now....

That's great news Guy... Means we get alot of awesome pics to view. Lol.
It's funny how the draw is like a grown mans Christmas ..

Nice job Guy! I didn't pick up anything but the youngest daughter picked up a youth doe permit about 10 minutes from home.

Guy: you have been "staking out" a trophy buck in that home area for awhile haven't you? In any case, it should be a fun hunt with no locational issues?

That's great news Guy! I'm hoping for the same kind of feeling tomorrow when the Wyoming draw results are out

Wyoming is tomorrow? Cool!

I've got mule deer & pronghorn apps in...

Congrats Guy I hope you bag a big boy :)

Ps, I think I overheard your CDL 30-06 telling the rest of them it's going to go out  :)

Congrats Guy.! Officially jealous and hopeful for all who have an app in, wherever you are CL

Congrats Guy really happy someone got what they wanted !! Make it a hunt to remember !! Always great to hunt in familiar territory

Congratulations, that is great, you get to look for a big buck in some beautiful country, couldn't be better!!!!!!

Man, that is good news, Guy. Congratulations! This should be great for all of us as we accompany you vicariously. Heck, I'm almost as excited as you!

That's excellent Guy! Man, I know you have to be pumped for this hunt! Way to go buddy.

How did your boy do in the draws? Anything for John?

YES!

Young John drew a cow elk tag!!!

We checked last night but didn't see it. On a whim I checked his info again this morning, and there it is, "SELECTED" for a cow elk tag! His hunt isn't until March 2015, but YES, he drew a cow elk tag. Looks like the ancient .30-06 is going to be put to work again!!!

We should be doing some good hunting, Aug - March! Yee Haw!

Congratulations to John! A cow elk hunt in March and mulie in rut--sounds like a delightful season for the Miner household.

YEah buddy! That is GREAT news Guy. Man, you should be able to stoke that freezer this Fall/Winter.

Never heard of an elk hunt so late in the year. That should be very interesting in your country! Way to go buddy. Sounds like John better make sure that old 1917 is tuned up!

Guy,

Congratulations on your draw success, way to go!
If you run out of freezer space, you can send the elk to me and I'll keep it cold for you.

Thanks all. I'm really most excited about my son's cow elk tag... He's going to really enjoy that hunt I think.
