Fotis,

My parents bough a Rem 870 youth shotgun in 20 gauge for my son several years ago. It's the laminate stock model. Dad and I had checked out many brands before buying that one and for various reasons didn't like any of them.

That 870 has been a great gun for him. I carried it this year for turkey, and honestly it would still be a great grouse gun even with the short stock. Of course we could buy a longer barrel and an adult size stock, but have yet to see the need.

If you arent set on a pump Mossbergs semi is pretty good and will be easier on the shoulder

I go for a Mossberg myself. The ported barrel is worth lookig for. 20's will still thump her pretty hard. Wing shooting? If so I have a friend who recomends loading down a 12 for the youth he teaches trap. I need to keep my hands a little closer together than the average pump gun to keep my balance while sitting, so my 12 guage has a "Bantam" fore end. Given Anna's size a a bantam or "youth" model might fit well. Mossbergs tend to be heavy if she can handle to weight of course that helps with the recoil.
Triggers in Mosbergs are usually awful but they can be refit to adjust for creep. IF you go that route and a re interested in that let me know.
Noit all that impressed with the 870 but folks make them work. CL

Got her this today!
