I went to a gun show today and while visiting with one of my favorite dealers i noticed that he had a New 1895 Marlin 450 with a New 1.75x 6 Leupold with Leupold mounts and rings. I bought it for $760.00 , I'm going to try some 300 gr. noslers pt. and some Beartooth 425 & 525 pile drivers.
I hope to Creme PUFF some Hogs and Deer this fall with this gun.
Got to love them Big Bore Marlins. :lol:

I shot the 450 Marlin today and was very pleased. The loads were.


46 grs. IMR.3031
400 gr. Speer bullet
Fed. 210 primer
Group size was just over 1 inch.

48 grs. IMR. 3031
400 gr. Speer bullet
Fed. 210 primer
Group size, small, i covered all 5 shots with a penny.
The groups were shot at 100 yds.
I want to try some 300 Nosler pt. next week.
This Marlin seems to be one accurate pumpkin roller.
