Washington Hunt Unit 448

I know that there are several Washington Guys here and was wondering about this unit. I have been hunting in the state now for 7 years and have yet to kill an elk and am looking for some late season options, because obviously what I have been doing is not working out for me. This area lies north of Highway 2 from Stevens Pass to the valley to the west. There is a late season General Muzzle loader hunt there and I was wondering if anyone is familiar with the opportunities. I have yet to start digging thru the F&Game website but decision time is coming soon and I was hoping for some info. !!! Thanks all

Bill, since 2007, they have averaged (1) elk a year from Unit 448. I would pick a higher yield unit?

Ya think? I doubt that unit will increase my success very much. Thanks Charlie for the info!!!!

I may have to use my preference points for a muzzle loader hunt. Once they are gone I would doubt that I would get another chance, and most of the hunts offered are early hunts when I am in Oregon and Wyoming.
