My son shot his largest deer this year - Heavy 5x5 on his own. As he got into his stand he saw a doe in a shooting lane and quickly pulled his rifle up the rope. As he cycled the action this buck stepped into the lane and with a 100 yd shot, down it went.

My wife shot here first buck. As we peeked over the edge into a "pocket" below us we could see two does bedded. I kept saying "look for the buck". When he stood up at 75 yds, all I could do was whisper loudly "SHOOT THAT BUCK". It was broad side for about 5 secs and she couldn't find it in her scope. After it started to trot away from us she was able to find it and make a shot. It was the longest 10 secs of my life trying to get her on this buck and make the shot. It was a 6x5 with tall tines.

It was a Great Weekend!! I have never seen her so excited in our 21 years together.

That was a productive weekend! Those are a couple of fine bucks. The pictures show a couple of happy hunters, but I suspect that their happiness can't begin to match yours. Congratulations. It is always a productive weekend when you can spend time with your family doing the things you love.

Wow, those are a pair of great bucks. You have trained your family to shoot well. Those are trophies anywhere you hunt. They look like hogs too. Should be some great eating! Scotty

Great bucks! Congrats to your wife and son. Must have been a little work getting the deer out by the looks of it.....unless you just had to point them down hill and let them go

Hi Tekneys, Congrats to you and your family. There is nothing better than a weekend with family and getting your quest only makes it better.
It is great to see a family that is so together
What part of Idaho do you live in? My nephew went to the College of Southern Idaho on a basketball scholarship, it was a 2 year school and he was treated like family and the school program was excellent.

Blessings,
Dan

Very nice Idaho whitetails. I've hunted the Grangeville area for a few years now, and have really enjoyed hunting these cagey critters. Congrats on a great hunt.

Great deer! And the family hunt makes it even better. i cannot seem to get my wife and daughter out anymore, but the boys still hunt with me. Hopefully, the wife will hunt next season!

Now that is what I am talking about! Very nice indeed.

Idaho has some really good Whitetails. I saw many good trophy bucks in the Selway when I guided there many years ago. Some were running in the same country where we hunted Elk!!

Have a Happy Thanksgiving.

Way to go man. Congrats to you, your son and your lovely wife. The pictures were worth a thousand words.

Congratulations! That will be a hunt you all will remember forever.....I know I would.

Nice bucks, thanks for sharing.
