Weatherby Camelia Wilderness 7-08 Rem

Sue got a Weatherby Camelia Wilderness in 7mm-08 Rem for her birthday. The Scope is a Leupold VX-5HD 3-15x44mm FireDot reticle. This is going to be her woods rifle with some reach for WT deer.
We are starting load development using a 140 gr BT and Ramshot Big Game. I'm also going to try Varget.
As it stands now, she is hitting the 250 yard gongs.
Once a load is figured out, she will confirm her drop chart out to 800 yards and test it out on some summer crop damage deer.
Without a doubt, she will be ready for deer season this fall.

That's the plan Bruce. I have a couple hundred of them. Once the 140 BT is worked up, I'll switch to the 140 SB.

Nice looking rifle. I'm running IMR4350 with 140 grain partitions through mine for just less than 1 inch groups. The 7-08 isn't fussy with powders and I'm sure you'll find a good combo.

I have that same scope on my 7mm08 too. That firedot is great in low light conditions. Varget has been my go to powder with the 7mm08 and 140 class bullets. You should be able to get 2,800fps easily with that combo. If I’d owned that cartridge earlier, there would probably be a few less rifles in my cabinet today. Best of luck for the coming hunts.

Congratulations! I would not mind having that scope and reticle! My experience with the 7-08 with 140 gr SGK and imr-4064, 150 gr SGK and Federal Fusion, with Imr-4350
Weatherby & Leupold. In 7-08!
