I would hope that courts slap such action down quickly. However, the constitutional law scholar that occupies the Oval Office at the present has demonstrated that he is quite prepared to twist the Constitution to suit his action. All he has to do is cry out, "We can't wait for Congress to act," and that will justify his actions. Presidents before this one have acted with EOs to "protect" and American public. It was EO that enacted the ban on shipments into Canada of components, scopes, rifle magazines, etc.

Being a history buff I know exactly what happened in Germany in '36 and '37.
The saying "history repeats itself" scares the hell out of me.
