What BC are 7mm 160 ETips?

Factory overuns. What BC, what twist rate needed?

Just confirming 160 grain and not 150 grain. I didn't see 160 grain E tips on the website in 7mm. Might not be listed though.

Nosler doesn’t offer a 7mm 160 gr ETip. The ETip is available in 140 gr (BC .489) and 150 gr (BC .498).
The 160 gr offerings include AB (.531) BT (.531) and PT (.475).

Some factory second bullets have weights that are higher or lower than the regular bullets so they could be 160 grain. I have 167 grain .308 E-tips and 133 grain 6.5mm E-tips.
Since these never match their regular product line bullets only way to tell is to measure yourself.

I don't think you need to worry about twist rate until you get into the 175 grain plus 7MM bullets. I have some Norma 170 grain Vulcan bullets that are pretty long for a lead bullet and they shoot well. They look like a Federal Fusion except the tip has the copper jacket folded over the lead almost like a small hollow point and they open pretty quick.

Most overrun/blems MidWay sells are from Hornady. That would be my guess.

That "over run" ad also says this

While they don't offer a 7mm 160 gr E-Tip to the reloading crowd it looks like they could have made some for another ammo manufacturer.

Looking at Barnes , Cutting Edge , and Hammer , with their 160s a 8-8.5 twist is recommended.

Best guess is within .010 of an AB going by similar weights (140AB to 140e-tip and 150AB to 150e-tip). So 160AB is .531 so 160e-tip at .540 or just under

Shooting at the same speed as the AB the marginal difference at say 500 yards shouldn't be much of a change. Maybe someone who knows how to run the numbers might be able to answer that!

Reading the QA responses two guys confirm it's copper and real long bullet. One guy says he called nosler and they told him they do not make a 160 grain all copper. One of the guys got some bullets and says they have a black tip

the problem I see with this unicorn stuff is ; these bullets will be exactly perfect in every way . they will shoot small groups , with zero load development effort . they will expand like no other bullet .they will penetrate into next week . they will be the highest velocity bullet ever shot out of this gun, regardless of weight . they will drop game like they were struck by lightening . but when they are gone , they are gone . you'll never be able to buy more .
