what caliber to rebarrel?

318 Westly Richards, 275 belted rimless nitro magnum. What the Hell, you have everything else covered, perhaps you would take it to Africa. I have no idea on brass so perhaps the man from Idaho had it right with the 6.5- 300. Have fun.

264 Win Mag or 270 Weatherby would be real cool.. Love to have a 270 Wby on a Model 70 action...

USRAC made some Model 70's during the 1980's in .270 Weatherby. Problem is finding one?

You aren't kidding Charlie, they don't turn up very often. Plus, having a 270WSM in the safe keeps me at bay..

Hard to improve on the 300 Win. Bullets available to cover any scenario you can imagine. Cartridge is accurate. The new ABLR should be potent elk medicine in either dosage. You probably have brass, dies, bullets etc already anyways my 2 cents.
Exactly.
