You've completed building all those loads and restocked all your go to ammo?

In the last three weeks, the local weather has meant no range time. Instead I've been heads down on getting caught up and damn it... I think I'm out of things to reload.

- The 140g AccuBond 7mm RM are built and ready for testing
- The 120g ballistic tip 7mm-08 loads are built and ready for testing
- The 250g Partition 35 Whelen loads are built and ready for testing
- The 168g AMAX 308 loads are built and ready for testing
- 100 rounds of my stock .243 95g S HPBT are sitting in the box waiting for some attention
- 50 rounds of 225g accubonds for the 35 whelen are boxed and ready
- All the loads for my brother in law are in the box

What's a guy to do? I need range time or more load ideas....

My wife hates it when I get bored. :)

load up the cooler and go shoot in the heat. ...at least thats what I have been doing.

Go shooting. Go varmint hunting. Go fishing. Go for a hike. Grab a mountain bike and terrify yourself.

Too many things to do to sit around bored!

Guy

All great suggestions. Maybe its time to catch up on reading. Maybe its time to volunteer for some elderly individuals who would use help on home projects. We're too old to be bored.

There's always that stock you've thought would make the rifle look so much better if you refinished it. Maybe I'm atypical, but I could not begin to list all the little shooting-related projects I'd like to complete. Life is definitely too danged short.

Well, being bored is a lot better than being frustrated. I've had a problem with a "trigger locking" thumb that hurts like hell. It's not the first ime I've had a finger do this twice in my left hand and four in my right hand, one having been done twice. Never before has a thumb gone bad though and this one is really painfull. I can't shoot anything, reloading it out of the question and staying on the computer all day is getting to be one hell of a drag.
That's the bad news. After waiting three months to finally get the surgery done to fix my thumb, today is the day. 8) Then with luck, a couple more weeks and I can head out and burn some powder, weather permitting. After all, this is Arizona's rainy season which we call the monsoon. We got 3/4" just yesterday with the thunderstorms booming and banging and flashing and crashing.   Mother nature gave us a real 4th of July fieworks display. Maybe that blasted drought is over with. I sure hope so.

Hah! I was already out at Boyds this morning looking to upgrade my BILs 788 to a new laminate stock. We think alike...

And I wasn't serious about being bored. I've just never hit a point where every cartridge I reload either has stock on hand or has the next load I'm working on ready for trigger time. It's weird. I figured I'd never get around to getting this far...

Send me your addy. I've got about 1k .223 hulls that need to be filled (after trimming, of course).

Just kidding.

Sounds like a worthy endeavor. If you're not crazy about laminates and thumbhole stocks, take a look at the one I found for my own 788:

My wife always hates it when I am bored, so she provides me with little projects, like moving the house a foot, moving rocks, and other fun stuff like that. Really, I increase my work outs and think about fishing, I have been hitting the fishing hard this year, gone twice now. I had a guy call me last night about painting another house, looks like I will not have the opportunity to be bored. Of course the way the fire season is going I will probably be on the line in a couple of weeks or less.

That's a good looking stock. Much nicer than the laminates and not much more expensive either. Thanks for the link.

Any chance you have a picture of how yours turned out?

Yeah just waiting on Midway for that little project!!! They need to get me my LC brass for that ammo chewing AR. Which reminds me I got to order a spring! It's kinda OOS right now! The same day I got what brass on hand reloaded. How ironic?

You could have a baby... My 2-year old and 4-year old are playing pirate ship right now.

Already had (5) of those. No more babies for me except visiting grandkids.

Not a chance in the world...it still looks just like it did the day the FedEx man dropped it off!
Like I said, life is just too danged short!

This is true, but casting can burn up some of that idle time
