What scope/ bases/ rings for the 416 Bee?

Like I said ...I wish but must stay with what I have on hand.

I have a
4.5x14x44 Zeiss conquest clear bright great all around
2x12 vx6 leo same as above but no PA adjustment
Bushnell elite 6500 2.5x16x42mm I have the same scope on my Sako 30-378. Phenomenal scope clear bright, track well etc..

I was using Warne steel Picatinny bases and steel TPS rings on my .340 Weatherby. The rings are heck for stout on the design and did not mar the scope at all so alignment of bores is accurately done as stated. The bases are $21. The rings are $83. They absolutely held everything together, even with the Accubrake. The ring have steel tempered screws on both base connection and ring halves.
OT3 - you say "even with the Accubrake" - are muzzle brakes harder on scopes, even though felt recoil to the shooter is less? I dunno much about brakes.
EE2

Brakes create directional recoil which is going in the reverse direction of the recoil from the bullet and powder. This revesal of directional recoil is very hard on rifle scopes and essentially shakes them to death.

I have settled on warne steel bases and rings

now scope which one????????????????

It is the scope that is the big conundrum.

Ok...I can elaborate now....was busy when I posted above.

I like the TPS rings I have, they are aluminum but they offer both steel and aluminum....sturdy built and still less expensive than others.

I've never been fond of wrapping steel around an expensive piece of aluminum.

The only reason I am leaning towards the 6500 elite is the 2.5 power on the bottom.

That is the reason I edited my post above...low power might be handy on a rifle of that magnitude...any chance you'll need it to stop something mean up close?

Nesika Bases and Kelbly heavy rings should do it. But I'm not 100 percent sure that Nesika makes bases for a bee action.

Like I said trying to decide on scope at this point.

Zeiss, no question.

I used all 3 of mine today in sighting in rifles as well as practicing for our upcoming elk hunt in 2 weeks. They have excellent glass, the movements are repeatable and the eye relief is great. The more I use them the more I want to replace the rest of my glass with Zeiss.

Oh, and I used my hunting partner's Swarovski today too. Great glass but I'm not sure it's worth at least 2x the price.

I would not be afraid to use Picatinny mounts and TPS rings on this rifle with either scope.

I do have a Picatinny but it is 20 MOA base.

The tapered base doesn't matter. All scopes have enough adjustment to compensate. I'd use a rail to try and stiffen the whole scope/action assembly.
