Often on Wheelgun Wednesdays I'll make a point of carrying one of my revolvers. I like revolvers and carrying them at least once a week helps keep me familiar with them. Today, I'll go with the old 2.5" pinned and recessed Model 19 and a cylinder full of 145 grain Winchester Silvertip Hollow Point magnums. I've had this revolver a long time, bought it used in the 1990's. What's your carry for Wheelgun Wednesday?

I love shooting revolvers and own Smiths in .41 Remington Magnum and .45 ACP and a Ruger in .357 Magnum. Someday I may add another Smith in .45 Colt. I had also looked into purchasing a Rock Island Armory in .22 Magnum, but too many bad reviews. I carry a Kimber Ultra Carry II in .45ACP, but If I was to carry one of my revolvers it would be my .357 Magnum.

Probably my S&W M60 .38 Spl. but I carry that one literally 24/7. So for spits and grins I'll say my S&W m28 .357 magnum 6" with my handloads using 2400 powder and the Lyman #358156 158 gr. semiwadcutter.

I used to carry my S&W Model 66 (357 Mag) on my walks. Then a year ago last fall I shot a deer when (unknowingly) my ear flaps had displaced my hearing aid in my right ear. The report caused further permanent damage to my hearing. Now I carry my Ruger Single Six Convertible with the .22 Mag. cylinder. I am thinking that the report from the .22 Mag. will do less damage to my hearing than the 357 Mag. (or 38 Special).

When I started at the S.O. I had a 4" S&W Model 28 revolver in .357. I really liked that pistol and shot it very well. When I transitioned to a Semi-Auto pistol I sold my Model 28. Of course now I wish I still had it. I have a Ruger LCR .22 LR with a 3" barrel. 8 round capacity. Not a real stopper but that is all I have for a revolver currently. I would much rather have that .22 LR than a sharp stick so there's that! Gave my fathers .44 magnum S&W stainless 6" to my son. Now that one's just a we bit large and heavy to carry for Wheel Gun Wednesday but it would work.
