I'm here now asking for opinions of which brass to buy for a .338WM I'm buying.

I know Nosler makes it but I'm just looking for some brass to get me started and I don't know if I should go with Remington or the Winchester brass. I looked at MidwayUSA and they are out of stock on Remington -- they say it is "seasonal" production or something like that -- but they have Winchester on clearance for about $27 (50 rds).

If Remington is the preferred brass, does anyone have a reliable source for it?

Thanks!

I would go ahead and get the Nosler brass, if it's available. Reason being, if you decide to switch later on, you'd might need to redo you laod developement to work with the Nosler brass.

FWIW, I use Win brass for my 338WM. It has worked great for me.

Really like the Norma Weatherby brass in 338WM.........and the Federal Nickle .........along with WW Nickle.......and last reg WW Brass of the big 3.

+1 on the win brass. I debured the flashole and uniformed the primmer pockets, and it shoots great. I have not gone as far as weight sorting yet. The nosler brass is nice because it has all the prep work done and is weight sorted, but these things are a one time deal anyway so I just do it my self.
