Which cartridge do you like so much, you have multiple firearms for it?

I know that I like certain cartridges more than others, and therefore have multiple firearms chambered for it.
And I know that I am not alone in this...
What are yours?

Mine currently are:
  • 22LR: I have 4 - a Winchester Model 69A (like my grandpa bought for us kids when we moved to the family farm when I was 11), a Lipsey's Ruger 10/22 RSI, a LH Bergara B-14R Trainer Carbon Fibre, and a Ruger Mk II Competition
  • 6.5 Creedmoor - I have 2 - a LH Browning X Bolt All Weather, and a Winchester Model 1885 High Wall
  • 338 Federal: I have 2 - a Winchester Model 88, and a LH Sako Model 85 Finnlight II
  • 358 Win: I have 2 - a Browning pre-81 BLR, and a LH Rem 700 Custom
  • 41 Rem Mag: - I have 2 - both Ruger NMBH's w/ 4 5/8" barrels; one blued, and one stainless
And I used to have:
  • 356 Win: I had 2 - a Marlin 336ER, and a Winchester 94 Big Bore(still have)
  • 375 Win: I had 2 - a Marlin 375 (still have), and Winchester 94 Big Bore
And if I include those where my wife (and daughter)has the same cartridge, I can add:
  • 22LR: my wife has a Ruger 10/22 (as does my daughter)
  • 250 Savage: I have 1, a Winchester Model 88, and my wife has 1, a Lipsey's Ruger No.1
  • 6.5 Creedmoor: my wife also has a LH Browning X Bolt Hunter
  • 270 Win: I have 1, a LH Steyr Mannlicher Model M FS, (and my daughter has a Rem 700 Titanium)
And while perhaps not a cartridge(?) per se, I have 2 shotguns in 28 gauge: a Winchester Model 37A, and a Benelli Ethos.
And my wife has a Rem 1100 Sporting 28. (And my daughter has a Cooey Model 84)

Still want:
  • 257 Roberts: a Browning BLR, to go with my LH Sako M591 custom
  • 6.5x55: a Winchester Model 1885 Low Wall, to go with my LH Steyr Mannlicher Model M SE FS

Until recently I had 2, 375HH and 2, 338s, down to one each there. 2, 12 and 20 gauge shotguns; probably do a little thinning there. Pretty well set on center fires in .22; .24; .257; 264; .284 .308 (2); .338; 375; .458; sold the .577. I see three holes in the line up, .270; .358 and .416 but I’m more likely to fill in with “just one more rifle” in that .264 to .284 range. As most of the above are Ruger #1s they are not exactly light weight rifles. I might have to get something light an ULA in 280AI perhaps a 6.5prc .
I have 4 .22 rim fires rifles. Rarely go to the range without a .22lr.

Too danged many!

Sometimes I fondly look back to when I had one centerfire rifle, one rimfire rifle, one centerfire handgun and one shotgun... Life was simpler.

I'd have to go back to before I had a drivers license to find that simpler time.
3-270 wins, 2-30-06, 2-243 wins, 2-20 gauge, 6-22 lr, and that's just long guns.

My love affair with the 270 Win started awhile back because it shoots flat, recoils little and kills aplenty. if there’s a rifle I’m interested in that cartridge it is never a bad choice. We’ve got a few for the kids and I in pre64 M70 and M721. We just put a new 270 pac-not barrel on a 721 that I gave to my nephew who guides for elk awhile back. Looking forward to seeing how that one will shoot.
I would have outfitted my wife with one, but I’ve got her pretty well covered with a 257 Roberts and 7x57 just for nostalgic purposes mostly.

Joe

I hope my wife isn't reading this... 😉

.22 LR - 4 rifles
.223 - 2 AR's
.243 - 2 Marlin XS7's
6.5 CM - Browning XBolt and Franchi Momentum
.30-06 - Mauser custom and Mannlicher-Schoenauer MCA
.45 Colt - 2 Henry rifles
.45-70 - 2 Henry rifles
12 gauge - Mossberg 600 pump, Lanber semi, CZ Mallard O/U
.50 muzzleloader - 2 Cabela's Hawkens, 1 T/C Hawken, 1 Traditions Vortek

Of course, this was all before I lost them all in a terrible boating accident. 😁

I have four .22 rifles and 2 .22 handguns.

Three .30-06 rifles, all Model 70’s.

Three .357 Magnums, two are handguns and one is a carbine.

Although I only have one .25-06, I plan to add one or two more for the kids. Another .22-250 and/or .220 Swift will likely join the fold too.

7 Prc?

I didn't want to tell anyone about the M-60 machinegun and the M40A1 sniper rifle that followed me home from the Corps...
KIDDING! But I did like those things.

I am not seriously trying to paint you into a corner (First of all, I know that is not even possible...), but I am enjoying the journey😇
