I currently have H414, IMR 4350 and R19-Which one is goig to give the best results(Velocity and Accuracy) I shoot a Model 7 and have used 129 sst's and r19 with good success just want a little stronger bullet. Thanks for your imput

Welcome to the forum; good to have you here. Accuracy is impossible to predict for your rifle. However, any of the powders you list should be good for the 260 with 130 grain AB. Velocities with any of these three powders will likely be close at a maximum charge. Know that the Nosler Guide lists RL19 as the most consistent powder in their tests. This does not mean that it will outperform the other two powders, but it does mean that it will likely give you good results.

Welcome to the forum.

In your 260 Rem with the 130 gr AB, RL 19, IMR 4350 and IMR4831 whould perform well for you.

rmarshall,

Welcome to the forum.........

What vintage model 7 do you have ? Lucky enough to get the later version with the 20in tube or the 18.5 in ?

What type of game are you going to be hunting ?

My Wife shoots a model 7 .260 with the earlier 18.5 in
I've launched a lot of bullets and powder out of this one, but not a lot of combos with the 130gr A-bond. Middle charge of H414 & 130gr A-bonds give me 5/8 in groups @ 100yds ( sorry, no velocity specs at this time )
I can not for the life of me get RL-19 to shoot in this one.

I have a M-700 with a 25in tube that really like the H414 & 130gr Accubonds. Max charge I see 2905 fps on velocity.
RL-19 and 130gr VLD's & Accubonds have shown some real promise as well - just need to get back out with that load. ( haven't chrony'd these yet )
Dependent upon the RL-19 velocity when I go back out, N-560 has been the " go fast " powder.

I am using H4831sc at 48 grains with 130 AccuBond gives me 3/4" groups in my M700 Mountain Rifle 22" tube at a hair under 2800 fps. Make sure to work up to this load it is at max or just a little over because I get a little flattening of the primers.

thanks for the replys guys. Its good to see folks have this little gem.
Powerstroke I have one of the latter models with the 20" tube. I would love a longer barrel. I have used this gun so far for muledeer and whitetails. This is an awesome little caliber.
