Whitetail bullet options

the Partition is a fantastic bullet . if I could only have one bullet for hunting everything , it would be the Partition . the soft front mushrooms and makes a good wound , the rear stays in one piece and drives through . the Partition would be a step up from the core lokt . both are excellent deer bullets . when hunting bigger game , elk or moose , I'd prefer the Partition .

Just wasnt sure if it would Mushroom on smaller stuff like whitetail. Especially since ours down here are only about 100lbs lol.

We try shoot above the shoulder /base of neck . Theres some bone there but maby the back of the Partition would push through it

the Partition will penetrate that , for sure . I'm a shoot them tight behind the shoulder guy . the ballistic tip or Partition works well for me . a lot depends on your velocity . higher velocity cartridges can benefit from a more robust bullet . I see your using a 308 , or a 30.06 . neither is a speed demon , so any of these bullets will work fine for you .

Morning , new here and never used nosler bullets . I hunt southern alabama whitetail. Thay are fairly small compared. 90-100 lb does 120-150lb bucks ..
Have always been curious about the nosler ballistic tip and Partition and how thay would preform on thin skin deer . We always used the winchester silvertip or corelokt . Im looking for something thats gonna leave a hole like the old corelokt did . Out longest shot is bout 150 yards .
Normally make neck shots or above the shoulder .
Shot one last year with a sierra gameking btsp . Did the job but didnt pass through on the neck .
Thanks , chris
We used Partitions for years on whitetail, phenomenal round for whitetail. We switched to Accubonds and am very happy with those as well. Texas, Oklahoma, PA, Florida, Wv whitetail.
AccuBond is a little better at distance but the Partition really holds up more is really the only trade off. I will also say the silvertip you are using is technically a Nosler bullet, am also partial to those ole girls and very similar to the Nosler Ballistic Tip. All great rounds. We have used some or all of these in 7mag, 7-08, 300 win, 300wsm, 308, 6.5 PRC, 30-06, 30/30, 300 ultra, 358 Win. No complaints with any. All are great for Whitetail.
