My son and I met two of our friends at the range this afternoon. We're going for whitetail this weekend, here in Washington State. I was too doggone worn out to bother shooting, so I coached, adjusted scopes, and used the heck out of the spotting scope. It was fun.
My son had never seen an actual suppressed rifle in action before, and is hamming it up here a bit with Mike's suppressed Savage. Yes, that's a U.S. Optics scope on the rifle. And yes, the whole package shoots pretty doggone well. Mike is using 150 grain Federal Fusion ammo, and is sighted-in at 200 yards. The big rifle is virtually recoil free, and shoots the Federal 150's very well.

My son John took a few shots with his good old 6mm Remington, and yes, once again the 95 grain Nosler Ballistic Tips are shooting quite well. Sorry, no new photos of the young man and his 6mm Remington.
Dani had her .308 Sako, and impressed us all by stacking two shots in essentially the same hole, and one less than an inch away, at 200 yards! She handles the lightweight little rifle well. I handloaded the ammo, using 125 grain Nosler Ballistic Tips and RL-15. Her rifle is sighted in at 200 and if she gets a chance at a buck, I think he's in serious trouble.

Sorry, no photos of me or Mike. We're too big and ugly for general viewing anyway.
I did have to check and make sure that my son but Mike's Savage back in his car, not in our Jeep! I think a pair of .308's and a 6mm will do just fine. Will update after this weekend's whitetail hunt.
