So I have never used the VIHTAVORI powders but I got there latest manual for x-mas. Just skimming thru I never seen too much extra ordinary except for 1 load with N560 fed primers for the 7MM RM, pushing a 160 gmk at ...... 3114! Mmm yes even faster then all the 7 mm weatherby loads. I was wondering about pursuing this maybe with an 160 AB and see . Maybe some one has dabbled with this already?

I was going to give it a test drive in my 338 RUM but found what I was looking for with Retumbo.

I shoot a fair bit of Vihta Vuori powders. N550 and N560 are two "go to" powders in the 7WSM and 300WSM. And, "Yes," N560 works very well in the 7RM. I have a pretty good selection of these powders for testing. In several of the seriously overbore cartridges, I use a fair amount of N570 and N170.
I also haved used VV over the years, albeit, not a lot of the 500 series,,,,darn good powder none the less, just a tad costly. Not an overly big deal, unless you shoot it a lot like target and varmint rigs. With those guns that don't see large round counts on a yearly basis, it's not a big deal. I want to get some N560 to try in the 9.3x74R with 286 PT's, even though 4831SC does well. Then as long as I have it, try it in the6mm AI XP-100
My local shop started carrying a few of them and N570 has become my go to powder in my 338 lapua mag. I just wish it wasn't so damned expensive. It's been a great powder and if it wasn't significantly more expensive I'd probably try some other offerings from them in various other calibers.
I use viht N110 ,,, 8.9 grains to puch fat 220 gr .308 bullets real slow, around 1050 fps out my 16" 300 blackout with suppressor hanging off the end. Quiet as a gnat's fart and an absolute hammer on deer under 100 yds. My absolute favorite suburban whitetail load.
OK, I use N560 with 270 win and 6.5x55 SE. fast and clean burning. N160 work great with 280 AI and 120 BT at 3300 FPS . I would say 3 in one hole?
N560 and 270 win is great with 140 AB and gets me to 2950 FPS with 22 in ch tube. It's burinig rate is about the same as Rl-22.
