So I finally made time (and sufficient ammo) to go shoot my 1902 vintage .25-35 levergun.
After firing three rounds I couldn’t locate any hits on paper through the spotting scope. I tried a nearby dirt embankment and saw that at 100 yards it was shooting some 10-12” high.
The rear sight is at its lowest possible position with even the ramp removed. The only solution it appears is to replace the front sight with a taller version.
Any advice on what brand and more importantly which height of front sight I should get? I’ve been looking at the brownells sight calculator already...
Should I also replace the rear sight?
Thanks!
