I opened a bag of these and started prepping them: run just the expander ball through, a little chamfer/debur on the case mouths. Checked for length and they were very consistent.
In the past, sometimes I have de-burred flash holes, sometimes not. Anyway I was pondering just that, and got to looking inside closer. There are two distinct kinds: over half look standard to me, that is the flashhole is in the center of a flat about the diameter of the primer. The others look to have a recess partway down, just slightly larger than the actual flashhole. Has anyone seen anything like this before? This set all looks the same as well. It's like a bigger flashhole on the inside, going down maybe 1/16" or more.
I would think this would really affect ignition and grouping.
