Wyoming House Approves Gun Legislation

Good news, indeed. And other States appear to be considering pre-emptive action.

Well the Supreme Court acknowledges Federal law as the "law of the land" so...we will see.

All the goverment will do is tell the state in question, "OK. No more federal funds for you highways, infrastructure or anything else." Just watch how fast they back down when "Big brother threatens to shut off the federal teat. They've done it before and it works for them every time. I wonder? Just how many states will be able to operate withoug government handouts?
Paul B.

We have more oil in Wyoming than Saudi Arabia, I have been told. And a truck load of other natural resources and minerals. We are just not allowed to exploit them.

Good to hear States standing up to the Feds.. And yes, the Blackmailing will be as it is already I believe. Feds don't want State's Rights as they once were,,,,,,just one central control of the Elite power. The domination of power and two class system is the goal. The Elite Bureaucrats have been crafting and using ways around the Checks and Balances of our Forefather's original form of gov't concept against the State's and American people.

PJ- I suspect you are right. However it would be an interesting moment. I dont remember the exact numbers, but every "so many seconds" I truck enterers or exits Wyoming on I-80. the good flks of wyoming could pretty much bring the country to a standstill if I-80 could not be maintained. I suspect that takes federal money too.... Well done Wyo.! CL

Seems to me that this is a large part of our federal problem---it's the federal government telling us what the powers of the federal government are. Instinctively I know this is not how things are supposed to work.

I'd be all in for the Rocky Mountain states, less the liberal part of Colorado, to pull away from the Federal government. Most all of the natural resources are here and there is plenty of farmland to support themselves. I'm sure there are other midwest states that would want a piece of that action too.

The Federal government is suppose to be the glue that holds the states together but lately it's the zipper that is being unzipped to separate this nation.

I think this started with direct election of US Senators...the state legislatures no longer have a voice to protect their rights at the federal level and the judicial branch has been hijacked.

Well done Wyoming!!! This just put Wyoming at the top of my list of states to retire to, the wife and I will be in Sheridan looking around in May. Colorado is getting to be too much like Calif.

Were I to retire to the States, Wyoming would be one state to which I'd give serious consideration.

Fotis, you got me thinking Wyoming. Colorado has gone downhill since I left and I can't describe how awful it is to live in a state subject to the laws that are like the ones being considered at the federal level.

I am getting old but I don't remember giving up any states rights to the Federal Government on gun control, schools, roads, transportation, health regulations or anything else. The Federal Government is like a giant boa constrictor eating people's and state's rights ability to determine for themselves without the interference of the Federal Goverment monster that we have allowed to be created by the politicians. Someone needs to tell the Fed to go home and never come back, unless specifically requested!

It is the nature of the beast to assume ever greater control over the people. Thus, the people are compelled to resist. There can be no rest for those who wish to continue as a free people.

Now for house bill 105!
