About a mile or so from the house on our way to town, this small bear was in the road. It just ran up the nearest tree which was just a few feet off the pavement.
He / She didn't appear to worried. Hung there for about 10 seconds, then jumped down and ran off. We do have a large population of bear in the local area. So we do see them a few times a year. This one just posed long enough so I could take a few pics.
