I have the following bullets

210 NP
210 TTSX
200 AB and 225 AB

What are your loads?

My most accurate loads were always with 250's Fotis.
SGK's and Accubonds, Partitions, never had as much luck as everyone else
using lighter bullets. RE22 @82.0 with 215M's @ 3.660 or 7828 @84.0 same
primer and COAL. It always shoots Moa or better. 2800 + if i remember my
has a 26" pipe. Did you copper foul badly with the Barne? I have a lot of factory
250 wby ammo and it never chronoed near 2941. Show me those tiny groups!
Oh yes I also had fair groups with Re25 around 88.5 @3.660 @ 2840.with 250's again.

Here is the load data that Charlie sent with my 340:

"Patrick here are the loads which I used. MV's are rounded off to next 10 fps and are measured at 15 feet. OAL=3.565 for Barnes 210 and 3.582 for 210, 225 or 250 gr Partitions. "

Patrick,

Those are some pretty decent speeds for your 340 Wby.

Haven't loaded a one of them yet. I used factory ammo to get my elk (didn't have time to load in the week or so between acquiring it and leaving), and since there have been no elk hunts scheduled since then I have put my time into other projects. However, I did recently buy 8 pounds of the 7828SSC for some 300 and 340 Wby loading, so I should be good to go.

Seems like the 225's or 250 would really shine in that big 340. I was hoping someone would try the 210 Swift in their 340. Seems like the 340 could really move that bullet pretty quick. Might make a good pair to your 257!
