USMC interesting changes in riflery:

I agree Scotty - I was always impressed with the USMC rifle training, and this looks like a real improvement.

Agreed. The Corps continued to hammer marksmanship throughout my career. They’re making it better and more functional for combat with these additions.
 
It's very good that they're training like that. It helps out in the long run.
When 2 years into a 4 years enlistment, in the Air Force, as a Security Specialist, we had to train exactly as what the USMC is going to do now.

Certainly appears to be eminently sensible. It would appear that this can only generate a more confident rifleman, and likely a more competent rifleman.
 
I like it Guy. Every year we throw in the MEUSOC course during one of our quals. It’s good to throw manipulation drills in with actual qualifying. It’s funny, you see some that are just OK paper shooters really shine on a dynamic course, and some phenomenal shooters on paper not do so well.
