Favourite cartridges based off the H&H Case?

My favorite all-around cartridge based on the H&H case is the 7mm Rem Mag. Although I don’t currently own one, it to me is the belle of the ball for the kind of hunting that I do. A 160 grain Nosler AccuBond at around 2950 fps to me is all-around perfection in the 7mm Rem Mag.
I second this. I picked up my first magnum a number of years ago which lead me to reloading for the first time last year. I usually load the same AB at the same velocity and have successfully taken a number of bears with that loading.

I don't have one but I'd say the 300 H&H would be a cool cartridge to own, reload and shoot - that would be my second favorite.

The 300 HH is cool

I have had two.
.264 Win Mag
300 H&H Mag
Both have served Me Well but looking back I could have just had a .280 REM for everything I have done.
I have Witnessed with Friends & Family
.257 Weatherby Mag
.270 Weatherby Mag
7mm Weatherby Mag
300 Win Mag
300 Weatherby Mag
340 Weatherby Mag
Of these the 340 Weatherby Mag did impress Me and I watched a bang flop on a Big Black Bear as it flattened it.

338 Win Mag.

It’ll do anything that needs doing in North America and according to a recently deceased friend will handle Cape Buffalo. He was hunting plains game and stopped a Cape Buffalo charge when they ended up in the middle of them and one took exception to their existence.

His coolest mount was the life size female lion attacking a warthog.

Never owned a .338 Win Mag but I have a cousin in Alaska who absolutely swears by his pre 64 in .338. He was one of the first group to ever get a Buffalo Tag and the .338 worked like a charm. My .338 Ultra mag is on the .404 Jeffrey case but the same bullets come out of the barrel and the performance is outstanding.

While the 210 gr Partition out of the 338 Win Mag may not have the extra level of authority that the 250 gr would have from the 338 RUM, I did not find its performance on black bear, moose, elk, grizzly bear and bison to be wanting for anything more.

The 210 gr PT is an impressive bullet in itself. I used it in my 338 RUM to take a bull elk at 350 yards. Starting at 3200 fps, it took out both shoulders exiting with a golf ball size exit hole.
The bull dropped at the shot and never moved.
I also dropped a mule deer DRT at 200 yards and finished off my buddies woundes mule deer at 50 yards. That one through the slats and again DRT.
Limited experience but the 210 gr PT is indeed an impressive bullet.

I agree.
It produced my first one shot kills on both elk and bison in the 338 Win Mag.
While I had previous kills on both species with the 270 Wby and 7mm Rem Mag (elk) and 300 Win Mag (bison), where the initial shotos were well placed in the vitals, they did take one or more follow up shots to finish them.
The extra energy and bullet mass of the 338 cal made for more impressive impacts on these karger, tougher animals.
