I had the good fortune to hunt caribou in Alaska a few years back and used a .300 Win stuffed with 165 gr BT's. I took a very nice bull at just under 200 yards. Caribou are slightly larger than whitetails and in some cases large mule deer bucks. My bull dropped like a ton of bricks with one...
"a box of 20 9MM for 44.95 Not as bad as expected !! "....
I could live with that price. Obviously one would avoid "practicing" with these rounds.
IMO, when the SHTF the cost of the bullet is NOT what one should be worried about.
They will be devastating to say the least.
Anybody have an idea in what quantities they will sold? May just have to get some if they come out in .40 S&W
My guess is that the average guy will NOT be able to purchase that stuff once the gubmint finds out it is available saying its too dangerous for us to use it. It will more than likely be outlawed by the gun grabbers who want to remove everything/anything they can to shut shooters down.
I...
Guess the old saying "When in doubt, toss it out" sounds appropriate here. Change the scope before doing anything with your loads and KNOW that the scope is "on", then if the problem continues, start looking for the culprit, one step at a time.
Thanks for the feedback. I had told him I thought the cases would probably stretch more at the should than at the tip of the neck. Never thought about the chamber becoming fouled. Good advise from you all and thanks again. I will call him today and let him know of your response. I know he...
The following question was asked of me by a friend who is just getting into reloading.
Question: What significant effect will over trimming a fired case have to the case life?
He explained that he accidentally trimmed some of his 300 WM case about .015 shorter than the specs. Apparently...
"......in Tx there is always something to hunt, year round.
No season on predators, hogs or exotic animals."........
Unless you own a ranch or have access to one, where do you propose the average guys goes to shoot or hunt? Like the other cheese heads, we have lots of space to roam, WHEN ITS...
There are a lot of critters around here that will be glad to hear the 222 Rem isn't gonna last.
Guess I'll have to dispose of mine and find something more popular. (NOT!)
Tjen..."Just tumble them and then store them clean. Now just reload as you need to problem solved."
Yes, that certainly would work assuming one only wants a FEW (a couple hundred) rounds at a time. I would like to load more than that at one time, hence my inquiry. I MAY purchase a progressive...
Is there anyone out there that provides a de-priming service, someone with an automated system? Got any suggestions, short of purchasing a system myself and having to start another business?
Perhaps you missed the point of my question so let me try again.
I DO have the option of...
I got "lucky" and scored several thousand .40 cal once fired brass, all in excellent shape. So far three, 3# coffee cans full have been cleaned but not de-primed with many more empty cases to be cleaned. With my 3 piece die set, de-priming one case at a time should take me well into the winter...
Dr. Mike....
I am NOT educated in deciphering the chart you provided. Attempting to understand it, correct me if I am wrong in reading that using 55 gr. of 4350 exceed the safe limits for the .280. Is my assumption correct?
Simply, I need an eduction in reading the chart.
