Had planned 4 full days to try and fill my SoDak West River deer tag, but my truck and trailer would only let me have 1.5. Took the first good opportunity I had (was trying to relocate a big 8 WT when I jumped this guy). 129 ABLR performed as advertised out of my West Texas Ordnance rifle in 26 Nosler and this buck dropped like he was hit by Thors Hammer. Found bullet on offside shoulder. Uphill pack out wasn’t as bad as I thought it’d be. First time I had to put quarters in the SG pack and the load shelf in it works as advertised.

Well done, love that country though I’ve yet to hunt deer there. For a number of years we made an annual pilgrimage to SD for pheasants and such. Could not believe the numbers of deer we saw. Perfect looking bullet.

Congratulations on your SoDak buck. The 129 ABLR is a great bullet with text book results.

Congratulations on your success. Great buck and great bullet performance.

I miss the western South Dakota . Grew up in the eastern part but left for the western sky’s

Nice buck and rifle. The ABLR held up great to what I imagine was a bit of velocity.
