My condolences. I lost a son 16 yrs ago in a car wreck. He was 22. I know your pain!

While we certainly don't understand the "why's", and probably never will as to why the Lord allows these things to happen, However, I found great comfort in Isaiah 55:8-9 "For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, saith the Lord. For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts. What a comforting verse during times of confusion, suggesting that God is aware of human circumstances and has a purposeful plan, even if it is not immediately understood.

As well as Genesis 18 ""Shall not the Judge of all the earth do right?" This verse gave me firm assurance that God’s actions are always just, even when human understanding is limited.

Again, my sincere condolences to you and your family.
