Weatherby Mark V Carbonmark 6.5 Wby RPM

Patrick,
There’s only one way to scratch that itch.
The 140 gr class of bullets at 3000+ fps has some horse power. Recoil isn’t an issue, especially with the Accubrake. Sue’s Carbonmark weighs 8 lbs and felt like a 243.

Federal using this new case, with peak technology, and now offering the high PSI in some factory 6.5 Creedmoor ammo is an interesting twist to these "hotrod" 6.5's. Supposedly the new Creedmoor can get 3100 fps with a 140g bullet. I have no real world experience, just heard about it from the guys at the gun store a few days or may be a week back.

Richard Mann posted a video on his Facebook page about this new load and showed shooting it over a Garmin Xero. Fellow range member has gotten over 3000fps with a Berger 140gr without any pressure issues.

That’s crazy isn’t it. Never in my life have I had any interest in the Creedmoor.. but now I’m thinking about it. Can load it down for the kids, then throw a peak federal in it and shoot 3000ish fps. Still fond of a flamer yuppie caliber though lol
